Serge Hoyda is active in a number of philanthropic organizations. He sits on the boards of the Jewish Children's Museum in Brooklyn and the Save a Child's Heart Foundation. He is very active in Sha'are Zion Synagogue in Great Neck and the organization for the State of Israel Bonds.
Serge continues to be a significant contributor to many organizations that sustain Israeli causes, ranging from improving education and fighting poverty to supporting disabled soldiers. As part of his work with the American Friends of B'nai Zion, Serge donated a wing for the expansion of their hospital in Haifa and dedicated a new synagogue in Jerusalem.
